Spotlight EAP: Introducing SkyFi

SatVu is launching the world’s first constellation of high-resolution infrared imaging satellites. Delivering a first-to-market, space-based solution to enable governments and commercial organisations to tackle the environmental impact of modern life through the use of high-resolution infrared data.

Ahead of the launch, 66 organisations have committed to harnessing the unique power of infrared tasking imagery by signing up to our Early Access Programme.

As early adopters, these organisations enjoy preferred access to our high-resolution imagery and the opportunity to secure valuable capacity on the inaugural satellite.

Our Spotlight EAP Partners series will showcase these businesses and the innovative products and services they offer.

In this edition we learn about SkyFi, Earth observation company based in Austin, Texas. Founded in 2021 by Bill Perkins and Luke Fischer.

Introducing SkyFi

SkyFi is an Earth observation marketplace making it easier than ever for consumers and businesses around the world to access Earth observation data through its ever-growing network of satellites and aerial providers.

A one-stop shop for all your sensor and resolution needs, SkyFi’s goal is to make this data more accessible to everyone, everywhere. Enabling people to solve real problems on Earth.

SkyFi’s consumer-friendly data marketplace makes it easy for anyone to purchase existing images or task a satellite to gather a new mage, with analytics capabilities being integrated to unlock critical insights from the data. The company is also integrating other forms of imagery such as stratospheric balloons, aerial, and drones.

SkyFi’s mobile and web apps are empowering the masses with a tool that has the potential to change the world.

"We are a UX company that just happens to sell Earth Observation data." Bill Perkins, Founder and Owners, SkyFi.

Joining SatVu’s EAP

SkyFi has a wide variety of customers, ranging from individual users who require imagery for one-off use cases, to new business users who have never leveraged Earth observation data before, and existing purchasers who are looking for more data to build machine learning models.

SkyFi plans to use SatVu’s infrared tasking imagery to increase the sensors and data provided on their marketplace creating more options for the end-user and putting them in a position to be the best Earth observation marketplace in the industry.

SkyFi’s long-term vision for its partnership with SatVu is to continue providing high-quality infrared data to end-users to empower them to change the world.

Climate Talk

“Climate data is important to best track patterns in the climate over time so that we can prepare for the future. We know the climate is changing at a rapid pace, and being able to document the process helps us to understand what will happen in the future. Having access to historical archive data allows us to take a look at how certain climate circumstances have played out in the past, so we can make the best decision moving forward.” Tom Babb, Growth Marketing Manager, SkyFi.
